1991: Giorgio Piccioni and Nadia Saponi found Expansion, an agency characterized by an holistic approach to the Client, based in an area -the Republic of San Marino - still unspoilt from an advertising point of view but full of opportunities and very promising.

The choice of the name is not accidental. Simple and memorable, "Expansion" embodies a mission that every employee embraces.

Over the years, the agency has continued to invest in structures and people, broadening its staff with experienced professionals coming from the most important agencies.

Won pitches and new clients are the result of a long-term vision and well-planned choices: all the clients have benefited from this policy, from the smaller ones, who had a fair chance to grow, to the bigger ones, who were enabled to face wider markets.

2000: Expansion joins AssoComunicazione, easily the most important association of Italian advertising agencies.

2005: Expansion opens a new office in Milan run by Maurizio Badiani, a well respected and highly awarded creative, author of some of the campaigns that made history in the Italian advertising. During his career, Maurizio has worked for important clients such as Nestlé, Martini, Coca-Cola, Renault, L'Oréal, Lancôme, Motta, Findus, Armani and Procter & Gamble.

2007: Expansion is chosen to represent Italy and San Marino by Image, the International network of independent agencies in Europe and the United States.

2011: Expansion becomes Expansion Group. A fundamental change that brings along a more efficient structure formed by 4 Units of work: Advertising, Digital, Design and Media - each with a head of department and a specific specialization, yet fully able to co-operate with the others.

2016: Expansion Group celebrates its 25th birthday and approaches the market with its usual energy and professionalism, but with a renewed potential and vitality, driven by the will to actively contribute to the growth of its Clients.
